This hit on something I see constantly. I mentor boys in Philadelphia, and "be a good person" never lands, it is too vague to act on. Boys want the specific picture, what does that actually look like, what do I do Monday. The clearer and more concrete you make the man he could become, the more he reaches for it. Vague encouragement does not move a boy. A visible model does.
